I have always used “Lowepro” and although I have had a couple near disasters, they have jumped in immediately and rectified the situation without delay.
Before I tell you what l use, l will just briefly explain about the about statement. On two of my large backpacks, part of the webbing stitching separated from the bags main body. The bags where a “Lowepro Pro Trekker AW and the Lowepro Photo Trekker AW, as soon as I had contacted Lowepro and returned the appropriate bag, it was replaced with the latest model totally free of charge. I now use a “Lowepro Pro Trekker 600 AW and a Pro Trekker 400 AW. They are excellent.
Anyway back to what I use: for all my major wildlife trips I use a a “Pro Trekker 600 AW”, for those trips where I can strictly control what gear is needed I use a ‘Pro Trekker 400 AW”, at all times I also use a “Street & Field belt and pouch”, this carries all those little accessories and necessities you may require you have crawled a few hundred yards across a field and your main backpack is back in your vehicle. And finally I have a full “Street & Field” system which will allow me with the aid of a belt and harness to attach a wide selection of pouches which in turn will allow me to carry a great amount of gear. In fact one of the pouches will hold an Eos 1D MKIV with a 70-200 f2.8 IS MKII attached. The idea of this is ideal for those situations where I am challenged with field craft issues and cannot take my rucksack with me.
